Category: Accessible Games
Hi all,
On www.audiogames.net I found this Freedom millionair game. And it's brilliant ... apart from the questions being a little too much for America. Now no offence against you Americans, I mmean you invented the game, and it's just brilliant. But my question is is there a version, or another "Who wants to be a millionaire" game with questions more for Europe, or the UK? Just wondered. Please let me know if you know anything. I mean, when I still lived in germany, the normal, up to date version of the normal game you could buy in any store was quite accessible, so I wonder if it is the same here?
That is a really good question. As an individual who works for a school, we use Freedom Millionaire in several classrooms as a fun skills building activity for the students. I've often been asked if their is a way to edit the questions database to make the game more inclusive for some lower level students. I'm sure this would not be difficult, given the proper tool. Such a tool could aalso be used to create a UK version of this game. Let me check in to this and report back.

Oh nice, thanks. That sounds good.
That game hasn't been updated in forever. Plus, the music doesn't change key as it does during the show. Grrrr.
hi ines.
this is not about freedom milionaire, but the normal version.
you can buy a version of the game where chris tarant actually reads out the questions.
he'll also tell you the choices, a, b, c or d. the key commands are quite simple, f1, f2, and f3 are lifelines. the normal ones you get, ask the audience, 50 50 and phone a friend. then to anser the questions, you press the letter that corisponds to your anser. so if you want the third one, press c. then he'll ask if that is your final anser, and it's simply y or n.
it can be played with up to 4 players, and the questions contained in it are varied.
enjoy
i tried freedom millionare, and, liked it, but, it would be good if they'd update their questions, which they won't, because it's been, what, 5 years, and, freedom chat, who uses that anymore, i heard it died, a long time ago, and all it was good for was to play starfight...
Thanks, Dan, that's brilliant. I guess I can get it anywhere then? That's similar to the German one, I just wasn't sure if you have the same one here. I'll have a look round. Thanks again.
